Yesterday, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in Pasadena and made our way west wards.
The Mojave desert is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The landscape is so impressive, mountains and hills and vast sandy plains and cactuses, as far as the eye can see. And sun. Lots and lots of sun, something I’ve come to miss a lot the winter months! So if you ever need a little extra sunshine, the West coast is where it’s at!
Once we arrived in Las Vegas, we had three missions: stay awake past 7pm, eat at in-and-out-burger and get to our hotel without accidentally running someone over. In preparation of our trip, I watched Ocean’s Eleven, just so I’d know what to expect at the Bellagio. And let me tell you, it’s something else. After a few minutes in line we finally got to the counter where a stressed employee wasn’t appreciating rude customers. Poor guy had to deal with a bunch of BS but A and I were patient and eventually were treated royally with a free upgrade with fountain.
Once settled in, we went for dinner and quickly realized, that neither A nor I are actually Vegas people. Lots of glitter and glamour and people behaving like they’ve never seen other people before and us: jet lagged human beings who can barely walk straight and slur words… come to think, we’re not that different after all…
Anyways, it’s been a while since I spent this much time with A alone, and we’re only on day 2, but let me tell you something, A is amazing beyond belief and although we are jet lagged out of our minds, and we both are pretty annoying that way, but being with him makes everything better!
Thank you for your comment.
