Jess explores – Constructive feedback (S2 E37)

Have you ever received feedback and thought to yourself – what on earth was that? Well, I’ve been at the receiving end of that more times than I care to remember and there was a time in my life where I would have taken any feedback as a critique on my personal being. And of course, when you feel like someone is attacking you, you will never be able to actually listen to what they are saying (if in fact what they are saying has any merit). But, it turns out, that when you give constructive feedback that it’s never that case but rather that whoever is giving feedback – in many cases (not all) – has your best interest at heart and really tries to help and wants to be constructive. It’s a power skill to give and receive feedback and one that requires lots of training and lots of understanding on how to communicate effectively.

On this week’s episode, I get deeply personal on constructive feedback and why it can really make a difference in your life.
